Electrolysis is for everyone.

Electrolysis truly is for everyone, because it can be performed on all hair types and on any part of the body.

We can tackle any type of hair ranging from fine, curly or coarse and everything in between. Electrolysis can even be used to treat white, blonde, or red hairs that may not have been treatable with laser hair reduction.

At Elite Electrolysis, we welcome everyone. Women, Men, Transgender & Teens.

Clear and hair-free skin is our priority. At Elite Electrolysis, we pride ourselves on a safe and sterile environment to achieve your goals of smooth!

What is Electrolysis?

Electrolysis is the use of a sterile probe which is inserted into each individual hair follicle. A small amount of controlled electrical current is administered to destroy the dermal papilla (the germinative portion of the hair). This process stops the hair from regenerating, which is why Electrolysis is considered permanent hair removal. The hair will then detach and be removed during treatment with a simple pair of tweezers.

Electrolysis is also the ONLY form of permanent hair removal recognized by the FDA.

Invest in Yourself.

Electrolysis is an investment in yourself. It is not a “quick fix” method but a proven effective long lasting solution.

Electrolysis requires diligence and commitment from the client. It is most successful when the client is completely consistent with their treatment plans. You are investing your valuable time and money to achieve a permanent long-term goal. You are investing in yourself. Treatment plans will vary upon each individual client. Each client is required to have a consultation, at which time a treatment plan will be outlined and the client can discuss any questions or concerns he/she may have.

FAQs

  • Generally, electrolysis does not hurt, but certain parts of the body are more sensitive to the current than others — for instance, the upper lip. For more sensitive areas, or for people with lower discomfort thresholds, there are various topical anesthetic creams that can be used to numb the area(s) to be treated.

  • Electrolysis can be done on any part of the face and body where there is unwanted hair with the exception of the inside of the nose and inside of the ear.

  • Some regrowth is possible, particularly with (telogen) hairs that were not in the best stage for permanent removal (the best stage is the growing or anagen stage). Shaving or trimming the area 3 days before ensures that the electrologist can observe and remove only hairs in the growing stage. Occasionally, a hair root may receive sufficient treatment energy to release the hair and damage the root but not completely destroy it. A finer hair may regrow.

  • Each client will have a different estimated time period. Many factors are considered when evaluating a desired area for treatment. The number of sessions needed to rid an area of unwanted hair is dependent on many factors. It is impossible to know in advance how many sessions will be required. A customized treatment plan will be created based on the information discussed during your consultation. Electrolysis is most successful when the client is dutifully consistent with their treatment plans.

  • YES! Electrolysis can be performed on ANY color hair. The color of the hairs being treated do not matter with Electrolysis. The probe is inserted into each individual hair follicle, so no matter what color (white, blonde, red, etc.) it is not a factor for permanent hair elimination.

  • For clients wanting to schedule a consultation, as well as a first time “experience”, please come in well prepared. You will want to allow your hair to be a decent length of growth. General rule of thumb is 4-5 days. You will want to hydrate the week prior to your appointment. Ideal water intake would be 60 oz a day. Applying over-the-counter lidocaine (4%) cream to the desired area 30 minutes prior to appointment will also aid in your comfort throughout treatment. Following these steps will allow you to be well prepared for a thorough & comfortable session.
